People change.
I never thought that the day would come but I have learned how to cook. Rather, I found the initiative to cook. It’s a big deal actually. I really never found interest until the week I was in Davao.
- Ate asked Mama what had gotten into me.
- Mama actually forced herself to eat asparagus when she never really liked it all her life.
- Papa goes home for lunch just so he can taste what I had prepared.
See? That is how important it is for the youngest in the family (who by the way is the only one who can’t cook!) to actually prepare something…even the simplest dishes!

Grilled Asparagus with Hollandaise Sauce
I know it looks like egg, but it’s not! I just left it for a while and that’s what happened!

Blueberry Pancakes

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Simple Sauteed Eggplant

Grilled Corn with Chile-Lemon Butter
Who would have thought that Cel will actually say “Cooking is Love!”

You are a good job baby! I love you!
Cooking and Cel? Back when I used to think you were half human the closest you got to cooking was microwave abuse.
Who are you and what have you done to Aubrey Kilometers?
betch, you know i hold you in high regard but i actually expected your first dishes to be simple omelettes, adobo or even sinigang or kare kare but my gad what is this may pa-hollandaise hollandaise ka pa dyan! why didn’t you learn this stuff back when we were in 19j?! so i wouldn’t have had to get take out or call delivery that much then. anyway congrats! pa-sample naman minsan!
I love you too, babe!
Tash, I don’t know. Who am I?
Betch, sorry I really had no interest then. Swear! But now it’s like I feel it’s part of growing up..then I went on vacation with nothing to do and a vegetarian cookbook from Randy. So there
i heart the asparagus
Thanks, Finch!
